Gomti Chakra are sacred objects often used as lucky charms to attract good luck and fortune. They are also called Naag-Chakra, Cow’s eye shell, and Cat’s eye shell. Gomti chakras are found naturally in the Gomti river, a Dwarka tributary of the Ganges (Ganga) River, in central Uttar Pradesh state in North India. Gomti Chakras are the rarity of a rare sea snail of the Turbinidae family. Gomti Chakras are mostly white in color and feature small circles on the flat side. Gomti Chakras are closely related to Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Krishna, and thus they are considered highly auspicious and beneficial. They are often used as a Yantra in the worship of Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Krishna.

Gomti Chakra are considered the symbol of Goddess Lakshmi. It is believed that any house in which the Gomti Chakras are revered will be blessed with money, prosperity, and good health.
The Gomti Chakra resembles the Sudarshan Chakra, or Discus, of Lord Krishna. According to oral Vaishnava tradition, the Gomti Chakras were part of the decor of Lord Krishna’s palace in Dwarka. Salagram Kosha states that placing a Shaligram and Gomti Chakras together and worshipping them at home is highly meritorious and beneficial.
